Marshall and Sons Home Services is a family owned and operated business in Nashville. We maintain HVAC systems and clean dryer vents, and both come down to the same idea: equipment that is looked after runs longer, and replacing it early is the most expensive thing that can happen to a household.
Why we work this way
A heating and cooling system rarely fails without warning, and a dryer almost never does. Both decline quietly. Coils get dirty, airflow gets restricted, a vent packs with lint, and the equipment starts working harder for the same result. Nothing looks wrong until the day it stops.
By then the conversation has usually moved on from repair. A homeowner without heat in January or air conditioning in July is not in a position to weigh options, and the fastest answer on the table is a new system.
It is worth being honest about why that happens. A replacement is a five figure sale. A maintenance visit is a fraction of the cost. When the same company does both, there is a quiet pull toward the larger number, and it does not take bad intentions for that to shape what a homeowner gets told.
So the commitment is simple. We maintain what you own, we document what we find, and we tell you when something genuinely needs replacing rather than when it would be convenient for us. A system that should last fifteen years should last fifteen years.
What separates us
These are the same three things you will find on every page of this site, because they are the whole basis of how the company runs.
A blocked vent and a neglected heating system are both fire and carbon monoxide risks, and both build quietly. We check the things that actually matter and tell you plainly if something needs attention.
If a roof or an access point is not safe to work, we say so and we do not charge you for the visit.
Two hour arrival windows, a message when we are on the way, and most work finished on the first visit. If we are running late you hear it from us before the window closes, not after.
Family operated means the person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.
Our rates are published on this website and confirmed on the phone before anyone drives out. You get photographs of what we found and a written record of everything, including anything we recommended that you chose not to do.
Nothing is decided in your driveway that was not already agreed on the phone.
